WIN 8 - No C Drive or restore, office popup "something wrong"

Hello,
I have a DELL laptop pre-loaded with Win 8, and not quite sure what got me to where I am. I am the admin of a small company and was not the user,

Currently I can log on to the PC and view libraries and move files in the PC named directory tree. There is only one user account, Admin with password.

Cannot do the following:

1. change the admin account via PC setting> Sign-in options. When I click, the "cursor" goes back to the "your account" line.
2. View C drive - Access denied
3. Restore to facotry setting - tried via PC setting and safe mode
4. launch MS office apps - Office popup - "something went wrong" Tried to repair in programs and feathures - msg: not enough disk space and there is plenty.
5. launch recovery setup from CD drive - msg: "You may not have the appropriate permissions", just spinning "hourglass" thing and it is a Dell system disc.

Any suggestions?
