After a few hours of using my laptop (HP Probook 4540s with windows 8.1 and 4GB ram) the following happens:
1. It goes very slow.
2. Everything stops responding.
3. My mouse freezes.
4. My volume/speaker icon disappears from my task bar.
I close all programs (takes a very long time) and refresh.
Just before it restarts the explorer.exe error window comes up saying "the instruction at 0x00000000 referenced memory 0x00000000 cannot be written. Click OK to terminate."
It them closes and restarts without me clicking ok.
After restarting, all is ok for a few hours and then the same thing happens again.
Any help much appreciated.
