loading issues windows 8

Hi,

I bought a laptop with windows 8 and it has been a nightmare, I don't know if the problem is the computer or the OS but many pages will not load properly (in both Firefox and Chrome) and it is needed to refresh CTRL+F5 to get them to work. I have 2 more computers with win 7 and XP and they don't have this issue so I don't think it is my connection.

Also, I was using before a VPN program and with win 8 it does not work right, the connection by openVPN stalls and I can not use L2TP either.

The computer came with Norton Internet Security preinstalled, so I am not sure if this could be affecting, though I tried to disable it and the problems seemed to remain.

I would appreciate any input.
