Skype on Windows 8

I have a Lenovo laptop running Windows 8. The PC came pre-installed with Skype, but required an update. Since the update I have not been able to use Skype. I've unistalled/reinstalled it multiple times from the Windows Store without success. The link on the Windows Store is grayed and says Skype is installed, however it is not installed on the PC.

Has anyone else had issues with Skype and Windows 8?
