Hi everyone.
Last week I bought a new Dell Inspiron 5520 laptop with Windows 8 on it.
In the 8 days I've had it it's been connected to the Internet 5 hours tops. Otherwise I get a limited connection and when troubleshooting I'm told the Wi-Fi IP is invalid.
I've tried nearly everything:
I've reset winsock, ipv4 and ipv6 3 times, I've uninstalled the McAfee antivirus just in case, I've fiddled with the adapter settings as suggested by someone (I've unticked everything besides Client for MS Networks, QoS Packet Scheduler, File and Printer Sharing, protocol for ipv4 and ipv6) and then reset winsock, ipv4 and ipv6 and did an ipconfig/release and ipconfig/renew. NONE of that has solved the problem permanently. The only case that had an immediate yet not permanent result was fiddling with adapter settings...
Please help me...
