Hi guys

Running a relatively new Vaio on Windows 8 and a blue screen just popped up saying that an error had been detected and that my laptop had to restart, it said to find more info on why this happened I should look for KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR on the internet.

Any ideas as to what happened and how serious this is?

Motherboard: Sony Corporation, VAIO
Antivirus: Windows Defender, Disabled

My antivirus is Norton 360 in case you're wondering why it says Windows Defender is disabled.

Since this happened last night I have also had an error message say there was a RunDLL error when I restarted my laptop.
And I also have had another blue screen saying my laptop needs to restart because of the following error - DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

Any help would be massively appreciated!

It's now done the DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION error twice now
