I'm having a problem transferring some Excel files from my old XP laptop to the new Win8 laptop I just got.
I installed my old copy of Microsoft Office XP Small Business, genuine original not a pirated copy, on the Win8 laptop and transferred my Word and Excel Office files from the XP laptop to the Win8 laptop using a zip drive. All the Word files are fine and all but 4 of the Excel files are fine. When I tried to open these 4 I got a message box that said the file was not in a recognizable format. A second message showed the file as a jumble of letters, numbers and symbols and said the file was "Delimited." I then noticed that all 4 of these "Delimited" files had an orange icon in front of it, the rest having a light blue icon. Is there something I can do to correct these files or do I have to re-enter them because they were somehow damaged. :eek:
