I've done a lot of troubleshooting and read a lot of posts but cannot fix my windows 8 issue.
I cannot connect to the internet via wireless on Windows 8. If I go into Connections, it says WIFI (Off) and I cannot change it to on, even if I go to Settings > Wireless - it is greyed out.
My laptop is an HP Elitebook 8530p. When I ran the troubleshooting for the wireless adapter ( Go to Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center - highlight WIFI and click Diagnose this Connection ) it tells me "Turn on Wireless Capability. Use the switch on the front or side of the computer, or function keys if available, to enable wireless capability on this computer". On the HP Elitebook 8530p, the wireless switch is on the top of the laptop, above the keyboard. When it's off it is orange and when it's on, it is blue. Even with this on, I still get the message to "turn on wireless capability. Use the switch etc..." I can connect via ethernet cable.
If anyone can shed any light....
