Anyone use Schedule Tasks?

I've been looking for program to monitor files in a one or more directories.

I wanted deleting of files in one directory - say files older than xx days.
And then in another directory I wanted to rename files and move them to another directory.

After much searching, I found a few programs that would do what I wanted

But then I cam across: Schedule Tasks

This would do exactly what I wanted - with some well written batch files
+ I would burden my system by installing a program that used xx amount of resources

Just wanted an opinion from others if they use Schedule Tasks?
Would be great to hear from anyone who has used one of the automated file/folder monitoring software
