Swapping Windows Product Keys

Hi,

I have a retail version of Windows 8 Pro on a cd-rom with the corresponding key.. This is installed on an older laptop.

A few months ago, I bought a new computer from CybertronPC. The computer came with an OEM key of the basic version of Windows 8.

With the Windows 10 upgrade coming soon, I would like to, of course, have the Pro version of Windows on my desktop, instead of my laptop.

Is it possible for me to swap the Windows 8 Pro (retail) key with my desktop's (OEM) key?

The main reasons I want to have the Pro version follow:

• BitLocker
• Controlled updates
