8.1 Updates Won't Install

I've had this computer about 2 weeks and today it won't install the updates . No error messages , it just keeps showing "Loading Updates" forever at 0% complete . It doesn't matter if I try to install all 4 updates or just 1 update , the same thing happens . I turned the Webroot firewall off and that didn't help .

When I first got this computer I installed all of the updates (65 of them !) with no problem . And I checked the list and KB2919355 was installed so that's not the problem .

The only other issue I've had is that it did freeze up a couple of times and I had to restart it . I figured that was just Windows being Windows .

Any suggestions ?
