Lately, I have been getting ads in various places on my laptop...even now, I have a drop-down menu of "Related Searches" that I didn't ask for. I get ads 'slide' in from the sides of the screen on certain websites. My MSN homepage has a 'banner' across the bottom advertising MSN apps. The latest thing that I did was to download and use Advanced Systemcare 8. Could this be the culprit? How can I stop these ads and apps from appearing on my laptop?
I'm using an HP notebook 2000 with Windows 8.1.
