Touchpad swipe function not working

Hi I've got a Samsung NP300e5e-S02ZA (not the NP...shown in the sysinfo o.O) I upgraded to windows 8.1 from windows 8, everything was working fine. I sent it to the Samsung Care center to load the recover partition (I accidentally deleted the wrong one) Subsequently, I received a factory reset laptop, as you get it off the shelf. Everything is all right, except that the touchpad swipe functions don't work. Swipe from the left or the right, double-touch scroll functions etc. nothing. It only move the mouse cursor and clicks when tapped. bas.

I have done the following:
Checked the touchpad settings in Control Panel...everything selected, but no effect
Downloaded lateset touchpad drivers from Samsung site...installed, with no effect.
Downloaded latest drivers from synaptics site...installation fails.
First uninstalled driver before attempting to install above mentioned driver...result is the same
Tried update driver via device manager..."driver up to date"
Tried disconnecting my usb mouse...no effect My specs are below.

Sorry, I had some external hdd connected at the time. The sysinfo utility didn't detect my AMD Radeon HD 8750 though and my model is not NP1234567890. My windows is legitimate and activated. Thank in advance for the help.
