Hello guys, this is my first time posting on these forums in hope of finally finding some solution. I searched the internet and was unable to solve the problem.
My stepbrother custom built my computer and it was working fine for several months until it started crashing. Here are some of the errors I would get with BSOD:
-bad_pool_header
-NTFS_filesystem_error
-memory_management
-critical_structure_corruption
-system_error_exception
-system_service_exception (win32k.sys) and (fileinfo.sys)
Also I get the hard drive disk usage to 100% shortly after I boot the computer. It crashes shortly after or just randomly with use.
Here are the system specs:
Windows 8.1 64-bit
Inter(R) Core(TM) I7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
8 GB RAM
NvidiaGeForce 650x I believe
Windows updates are done, except for one optional update which I am unable to install because the system crashes before it happens. Also sometimes the screen will just start constantly flashing out of nowhere. Recovery console also fails majority of the time.
So here the list of things that were attempted before coming here. Fresh re-install of windows and update to 8.1. I did not install anything else besides iTunes and Nvidia Experience software. Bought a new hard drive because it seemed like the other one got corrupted. Bought new RAM (originally had 16GB RAM but they ended up giving out for some reason), so now at 8GB RAM in slots 2 and 4. I also ran disk cleanup and deleted pretty much everything, hoping that would solve the issue.
I would really appreciate some feedback! Thank you in advance and let me know if there is any other information you would like me to provide.
UPDATE: I was able to install the last optional update - Windows 8.1 for x64-based system (KB3000850) without crashing.
