I just upgraded my desktop to windows 8.1 and while it connects to my home network, has no internet connection. The other desktop on my network which is running windows 7 works perfectly. I have tried power cycling the network and I don't have the option to roll back any of the drivers (grayed out). I can take a different computer and plug the Ethernet cable into it right beside the one that isn't working and have internet in seconds so I know its not a network issue. These two computers are physically connected by Ethernet cable. I'm running trend-micro internet security and have tried disabling it and the firewall and nothing makes any difference. None of the ipconfig release/renew tricks work and network troubleshooting either doesn't find a problem or just something like the Ethernet cable isn't plugged in (and it is) or there is a problem with the router--which there isn't either.
