plagued by a continuing error or malady

Using WIN8.0. I am plagued by a continuing error or malady. Popping up is a window saying “High Memory Usage” followed by “COM.Surogate.” Sometimes a second window pops up with, “ High Disk Usage by Host Processes”. All of this makes my PC run very slow and causes freezing and other problems. Have run System Mechanic and resolved some issues but the problem is still there.

How to I correct for all of this? Thank you, eddie460
