I have a Toshiba Satellite that's only just a year old. Since getting it, it has been extremely slow to startup. It turns on fine, but it can take anywhere from 1 to 20+ minutes to provide me with the option to login (I have to put in my password). Once I put my password in, it takes mere seconds to start and my computer runs fast. It isn't likely to be malware or a virus (I have Norton and did a two hour thing with live support and they found nothing). Norton also helped me try something (not sure exactly what it was called) where we went to all the programs that startup when my computer does and we shut all of them off, hoping this would help and it still didn't. They told me it was likely an issue on Toshiba's end and to call them. I did. Toshiba tech support is absolute crap. They told me the ONLY solution was to turn off my password and I will not do that. Any solutions? I really appreciate the help!
