Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron 17R. The problem started when my daughter was using it to watch Netflix. The movie froze and so did my laptop. She held the start button down until the computer shut off. When she tried to restart it we got an error message. So went into shift + F8 and did a diagnostic but it came back with no errors. So then I told it to do a fresh install (thinking if any drivers had been corrupted, it would replace them with good ones). It did its thing, and all seemed well. Gave it back to her, she went back to Netflix and locked it up again.. and yes, she hard crashed it with the on button again. Now the screen will not light up unless you keep trying over and over, and even then it only stays lit for a few minutes. I did manage to get it work long enough to see the error code Oxc0000001 (graphics error). I do not have a recovery disc for this (thank you son), and even if I did, I cannot get it to go into bios (either F2 or F12) so cannot make it read from the dvd drive or the usb. I have read a lot of forums and took the laptop apart and removed the cmos battery (left it out for over 15 minutes), when I got it all back together, it still would not let me go into the bios. So, any help would be greatly appreciated.
