This has been going on for months. Basically, I attempted to update from windows 8 to windows 8.1, and it said that I need to finish all my other updates first.So I did that, and I left for a while (an hour or 2) and it was STILL UPDATING. I got intimate and shut the computer down using the power button and turned it back on only to be met by a screen that said "Failure configuring updates, reverting changes." I waited longer then before and it was just stuck there! I guess you can consider it frozen, but I can still change the brightness and the volume and the circle thing is still spinning. I can't access anything, no start menu no nothing, So my laptop is useless. I've read online that I was supposed to wait longer, and that I should have done all the updates at once. But what has been done cant be undone, and now I need to get past this update screen. How do I undo the updates? Ill do anything to get my computer back even if it requires restoring it I dont care anymore. Also, again I CANT ACCESS ANYTHING so PLEASE dont say stuff like "oh have you tried going on the internet and downloading this" or "go the the start menu and do this" because I can't. I've tried safe mode and restoring it but it just takes me back to where I was before. If you need my model number or whatever, then tell me. I have an HP Laptop with Windows 8. Please help! You're my last hope! :(
