Problems with freezing and hanging in Windows 8.1

Hi,

I'm experiencing problems with freezing and hanging with Windows 8.1 on a constant basis. The problem occurs in the browser, when switching between programs and during start up and close down. It's driving me crazy! Any help would be really appreciated.
