Solved: backup email

Am using outlook.com, web based, as a backup email program. Since setting it up when I try to access it, I keep getting a screen that says 'we are having a problem access this program, try again'. When I click again, I am in the email program and ready to use it.

So far have not found anyone who can tell me why I must go through this extra step to get to Outlook.com.

I am using browser Firefox on Win 8.1 on my PC.

Can anyone advise re this problem?
