A friend bought a new Toshiba laptop a few months ago. It came with usual 'Bloatware', including Skype.
Skype seems to be some special installation (special agreement with Toshiba?).....and is not listed amongst the programs available for uninstallation.
It does not look at all like 6.11.0.102, I have on my PC, and I want it gone, for my friend.....we would then load up 6.11.0.102.
Contacted Toshiba Support and had a remote LogMeIn session. Support guy couldn't/wouldn't explain why Skype wasn't listed as uninstallable, but claimed he could fix the issue, provided I upgraded my Hardware Warranty to include Software!....and oh, by the way, I can see many errors in your Registry set up, some of which may be having an impact on the Skype problem.
I politely told him to push off and I'm about to email Toshiba......
Just wondered if anyone had ever come across a similar issue......does Microsoft have some utility that could uninstall, an invisible installation?
