How to Make Factory System Recovery on this Computer

Using Windows 8 (not 8.1 yet) on this Dell XPS One 2720 (Mid 2013) Service Tag 6DJ7TX1.

This computer is new, just out of the box two days ago. I've not run into a modern system where there was no apparent way to make factory system recovery disks; but, this one I can't figure out. Also, I don't understand how this system is set up and the purpose of the 32-gigabyte SSD (which I would like to swap out for a larger SSD).

The only item in the Dell Backup and Recovery folder in the All Programs menu is Dell Backup and Recovery which brings up the recovery screen below.
