Limited Connectivity using hotspot

Hi -
I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 which i recently updated with Windows 8 and the latest Office version. I use a Verizon ZTE, 890L hotspot for my home internet connection. When i first installed windows 8, my internet connection worked fine... for about 1 day. Now it just says i have limited connectivity. my computer however, can access the internet just fine with other connections. It connects at my local library and it connected at the verizon store when i went to talk to them.

I called verizon, and they told me that the ZTE needs a patch and it won't work with windows 8 until they update it. But when i went to the store, the manager took a look and offered a few suggestions: he said that in some cases its a matter of the IP address not being recognized; in others its a matter of needing a driver update.

I went home and made sure all my drivers are updated. i also tried doing the ipconfig / release and ipconfig /renew. then i tried resetting the winsock / ipv4 /ipv6 tcp. none of that worked. i used to have mcafee on my computer but have not reloaded it after doing the windows 8 update. so my security is only the generic network one. i tried disabling the firewalls to see if that would help. it did not.

below is my ipconfig /all which i've noticed is asked for a lot...
