Not sure where this question should go. Skydrive queries seem to be in lots of different forums.
I'm a new user of Office 365 on Windows 8 (a desktop computer). Skydrive had seemed to be functioning well until tonight, when I saved a Microsoft Word document to that folder and then tried to send an e-mail through G-mail with that document attached. Clicked the paperclip, clicked on Skydrive, and no sign of the new document.
Went to File Explorer and navigated to Skydrive. No new document shows up.
Went to the taskbar, opened up the Microsoft Upload Center icon (upward-pointing arrow in an orange ball), and the document shows as having been successfully uploaded. Not sure how that upload center thing works; the icon had disappeared from the taskbar when I went back there just now to confirm its name.
I can also open Word 365 and open the document in question. Not sure, though, if it's been saved to a local cache in addition to being (supposedly) in the cloud. Thus, I'm not sure that the document is truly in Skydrive and just hasn't shown up yet for some reason or whether it hasn't been saved online.
Should docs sent to Skydrive show up immediately in File Explorer? If so, does the description above suggest any operator error?
Thanks.
