Haven't been here in an age -- ever since a virus horked our HD we went to Linux and never looked back. We bought a new computer in January that came with Win8 already installed (an Acer computer complete with a whack-load of Acer crap on it too) and weve had nothing but trouble with it. What we want to do is wipe the computer and go back to Linux but our son has tried a number of times and can't do it. He's not on hand atm so you'll be walking me through the process, and therefore I'll need directions as simple as possible. Many thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
