Hi,
I have recently got a lot of help here, from extreemly patient folk, in getting to grips with win8.
As advised, eventually I deleted w8 from my dualboot with XP & reinstalled the dualboot with improvement on IE10 as per screenshot below, & behaving just as in XP 's v8.
Note that IE opens looking like this only from the Task bar & the Classic Shell, if opened from thr "Metro", you call it?, it opens like was on my first install, which was completey undisireble.
I had difficulty with reinstalling win8 being relactant to use the second (Advanced) option of install which warned that all data will be lost. Yet somebody persuaded me to use it, bless him (if phrace is not of religious nature???%%%***) which allowed to choose a partition & 10mnts later win8 was up & running.. .........nick
