I have brought a copy of Windows 8 and am trying to upgrade from Windows 7. I ran the Upgrade Advisor, my system will take it.
I started the upgrade process yesterday at 3pm and, after the initial (I assume Windows 8 checkup screen) the Windows 7 Logging off splash screen appeared and hasn't budged ever since!! I have got the Rescue Disks to restore W7. Because it has not logged off W7 yet, can I just turn it off and reboot into 7 again? Why do you think this is happening?
