Solved: sound equalizer in W8

Just how can I access the Sound Equalizer in Windows 8

3 people have told me to right-click on the sound icon in the system tray the click on Sounds then on Playback then on the Speakers icon then on Properties then on Enhancements.
Tick equalizer then click a button with ... on it.

When I get as far as enhancements all i get is a check box for Disable all sound effects (as image below).

Any help please as the sound is so tinny.
