I have recently bought a Windows 8 PC and wanted to create a new homegroup to connect it with my WIndows 7 PC. There is no existing homegroup on the network, however, when I create a homegroup on my Windows 8 PC it cannot be detected by any other computers. However, if I create a homegroup from another computer (a friend's) it can be detected. All network sharing options are turned on. I have tried troubleshooting and have been searching forums for ages and have found similar issues but nothing has completely solved the issue.
