Just got myself a Samsung S3 over the weekend, and for the most part I love it! I've run into a few problems with it, mostly due to me coming from an iphone, and getting used to the new controls, apps, etc...
Anyway, I found an app that acts similar to iTunes called Kies, which allows me to sync my phone to my computer (running Win8), do backups and restores, etc...
The problem is that when I connect the phone my computer, it will occasionally deactivate my copy of Windows (which is legit, and I have the receipt from MS to prove it!). I click the button to activate it, and get an error message (which I can't recall at the moment). I looked it up online, and what I found shocked me...
Apparently there's something in the phone that is causing Win 8 to deactivate itself, and you cannot reactivate it unless you unplug the phone. So I unplugged the phone, and sure enough, I was able to reactivate Windows.
I have had to do this about 5 times so far, and not looking to have to keep doing this. Has anyone else run into this problem and been able to solve it permanently (without getting a new phone)?
