Temperamental Internet Connection

I have had my Dell Inspiron 3520 since Christmas. My system is running 64bit windows 8. Since having it my internet has been the biggest problem. Plugged in or not it will randomly lose internet connection and I have to unconnect and reconnect. This works everytime but the problem is that I will need to do this almost every 15 minutes which makes browsing the internet quite a struggle. Sometimes the period between will not be enough to let me load a new page. I've been trying to keep up with updates but unfortunately none have solved my problem.

I also am completely unable to connect to the wpa2 signal on my college campus.

Any advice on either issue would be a great help!
