Windows 8.1 and Vista printer question

Hello All,

I have been using Windows Vista for a long time. I know ... foolish me. My printer (HP Deskjet 5400) is connected via the port on the aged HP computer.

I now have an 8.1 computer up and running and using Wi-Fi. I use a Chromebook and easily connect to the printer which is kept on while the old computer is running.

How do I connect the new computer running 8.1 to the Deskjet? There must be a way, correct?
