When I moved my laptop from further than 2-3 feet, I lose the connection. After calling Dell (Inspiron 17r), and doing an uninstall and reinstall of the centrino driver, a reset of the router, a reset of pass codes and everything else Dell techs could think of, we still only got a "limited" connection notice otherwise no Internet connection at all, wireless or wired. Dell says they will send me a Windows 8 disk and I will have to reload the operating system and in the process losing all current programs and data. Is there anything else you can suggest? Remember, I have no access to the Internet now.
