When does Windows 8.1 install updates by default? Need the date and time. I have a laptop PC, and it seems that I have to have the lid open around this time to get them. As most users close their laptop, which activates Sleep Mode, today I had updates the completed after restarting the PC via MS instructions, PLUS 51 new important updates that came out this Update Tuesday.
What's the best way to get auto updates through a laptop? My Windows 7 desktop PC is much easier. I leave that on most of the time and in Windows 7 and below, you can adjust the time interval for Automatic Windows Update. I have not found this on Windows 8.1.
