Stuck on No bootable device found

my gateway laptop was running on windows 8.1 when al lof sudden it restarted and now is stuck on a windows 8 reloop. Upon rebooting the message : no bootable device is found- pres any key .Medias failure check cables
I've tried various ways to go into my laptop thus rearranging the boot order and changing the SATA . but no progress.

I believe my hard disk is damaged. nedd help..!
