I kept leaving my laptop on at home, so I created a task on it, to auto shut it down at noon. Giving my laptop time to finish anything it was doing, and power off harmlessly.
The odd thing is it kept triggering at 7 pm at night as well. I'd walk away from my machine, come back to it a half hour later, and it would be powered off. no idea why.
There were no errors in the logs, and the task scheduler says it successfully ran at 7 ish (depding on when my computer switched to idle mode).
There has to be a bit of logic I'm missing, but I'm not sure what it is.
