I recently reinstalled Windows 8.1. I can't view most of my pictures stored on Google Drive via the desktop app with any program (specifically want to use Picasa photo viewer and photo management) getting a permission denied error. I changed my user to be the owner (I think it was already but just to be safe). I did some Googling and discovered that having files on read-only can cause this. Every time I turn off read-only for the folder (including sub folder) it remarks some as read only. This is preventing any program from using the photos. Any way to force them to never be read only or another solution to the problem.
