I've owned a win 8 PC for over two years. In the last few months it's begun running slowly. In fact, so slow at times, that it would just freeze up. I removed a bunch of malware but the problem didn't fully resolve. So, I engaged one of your malware removal specialists, thinking perhaps malware was still present. He has been helping me, but we've not found any malware. The general result of his help has been to improve computer performance, however, one issue remains: when Automatic Maintenance is running, it bogs down really slowly. As long as I turn that off, it seems ok, except the fan is constantly turning on and off (also a new issue in the last few months). Can I leave Auto Maint off and just periodically run defrag and other similar utilities? Also, what do you make of the fan issue?
