Can't Keep Goggle Chrome as my Search Engine

When I open Internet Explorer, Bing opens up...and when I search for Google Chrome it come up. But, after I follow it through the download to completion (the Google Chrome Icon appears at the bottom of the desk top)...everything funnels back to Bing no matter if I click on Chrome or IE.

Is there anyway to simply make Chrome my home page?
