Hi, last night my custom built desktop PC froze while watching an NCAA Tournament bsketball game online on NCAA's website. After it froze, I restarted the PC and it wasn't booting up anymore. It tried to do the automatic repair and diagnosis, but it didn't repair the issue. There was at least one point during a boot up where it went to a screen that said something about "unexpected kernal mode trap". I tried doing a system restore and that didn't solve the issue as the computer continued not booting. I was able to go in to safe mode, but I didn't do much in there to solve the issue.
Also, I noticed the resolution shrunk and the screen clarity wasn't that good. There were dots and weird white lines during the first two startup screens
I tried looking up the unexpected kernal issue and haven't found a solution yet to the issue.
I'm wondering if anyone can please help me to resolve the issue.
