A friend has a Windows 8 laptop. He kept getting a pop up, asking if he wanted to upgrade to 8.1, and always clicked No. His wife clicked Yes by mistake, and now when he boots the laptop up, he is asked for a password, but it won't accept the password he used before. He says it asks for the password he last used to log on for Microsoft. He could run a system restore, if he could get into his laptop. He tried other passwords, like the one he uses for Xbox live, but it won't accept this. He seems to think it is asking for the password he used when he first bought the laptop. Is there a way round this?
