Green Box when playing youtube vids

Hi guys. I am running win8.1 with all the relevent updates, but just recently when I have been trying to watch vids on either FB or youtube I get the audible side of the vid but not the picture. If posible could someone either point me in the right direction to correct this or to help me correct it myself.
