I have a windows 8 laptop. It takes forever to boot. It automatically goes to the desktop. After the icons have loaded, they all disappear. I am left with the taskbar, which is empty except for the windows logo. Then the whole screen flashes between dark blue and light blue.
I got into safe mode, and the same thing happens. It doesn't give me time to do anything. In safe mode I opened IE, then it started flashing, all the icons disappeared. IE stayed on the screen but it was inoperable.
I don't have any system disks to reinstall or repair from.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
