Hi guys,

I recently used your Malware Removal section of the forums to clean off a friend's laptop from a few issues. I've found that even after cleaning the system completely, getting startup entries culled, and uninstalling some bloatware, the system is still running very sluggish. The task manager is showing a constant 100% disk usage and the main culprit seems to be "System." She does have indexing turned on, but I wouldn't think that would cause it to be running 100% disk usage even at idle.

I have done a disk defrag using Defraggler, but it wasn't too fragmented to start with, so not much changed after that operation.

Any suggestions on getting this under control? I feel like the disk usage is the main cause to the laptop running slowly.

Thanks!

Edit: I've attached a screenshot for y'all to see.
