My HP Windows 8 laptop came in contact with an electromagnetic field. Unfortunately it wiped the hard drive completely and i could not recover any files or data from it. I am used to repairing computers but i am not familiar with the new UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) and i am now having problems installing windows 8 again. Like a dummy i forgot to create recovery disks and am now sitting with a very expensive paperweight with a blank hard drive and no money to afford hp recovery tools. I have a windows 8 installation disk and a product key that i bought when i got the computer. How do i install windows 8 without being able to access the UEFI configuration menu accessible through the Operating System? Please help!!
