Intel HD Graphics 4000 driver - High CPU Usage?

Recently I've noticed Chrome getting sluggish and realised that the System process was using up an unusual amount of CPU power. I took a look at it with Process Explorer and found that the culprit thread was ntoskrnl.exe!iodeletedriver. Tried doing some further probing with xperf, but symbols aren't loading properly for some reason (might shed some more light-will post back once I get this to work). I began to notice the high usage occurring when chrome was rendering pages and videos, so my first guess was the graphics driver. My laptop also has an nVidia GPU, so I tried running chrome using the GPU for rendering. Hey presto, usage went down instantly. All drivers are up to date. Anyone familiar with this thread or got any ideas for some more debugging I can try to further identify the issue? In my google searching I've come across people having similar issues with the system process, hd graphics in particular, but could not find anything about this thread. I'm going to post about it on the Intel forums soon too, just wondering if anyone here has any ideas. Cheers.
