In September of this year (2014), my computer (Toshiba Satellite C55t-A5222, it's a touchscreen) was being slow. So I decided to system restore it (back to factory settings). I've done this before with other computers (I have a Toshiba Satellite with Vista on it from like 2007). This time I decided to go down a different route (which I have also done) and deleted the partitions. Normally with the vista computer it would be fine. But with my windows 8 laptop (once I clicked delete partitions) it will no longer boot. (Probably should have clicked delete and overwrite) I get a black screen that says "No Bootable Disk Found."
My boyfriend has a windows 8 computer (same bit) and made me a usb. This usb once plugged into my computer brings up a blue screen with a bunch of options like Command Prompt, system refresh, system restore, etc. I can't use any restore or refresh options because it says that the partition is locked. So ultimately my question is, can I just buy Windows 8 DVD (or windows 8.1, because when it worked it updated it to 8.1) and try and fix my computer. :(
I can order a Recovery USB from Toshiba for my laptop, but would that even do anything since I have no partitions?
Any help is sincerely appreciated as I desperately need that computer to be working!
