When I bought this laptop I noticed it had two boot options, legacy and UEFI. UEFI was default selection, with secure boot enabled. Now, it took me some figuring out the first time I reloaded the computer that I had to enable legacy booting and choose my dvd drive.
That being figured out I've reinstalled twice or three times successfully and been able to switch back to UEFI boot with secure boot enabled after the install was complete, but this last time I switched back to UEFI and tried to enable secureboot and on restart it kept saying checking media, checking media, no boot device found, and reloaded. The loading screen changed too, usually it's just the Dell logo, with the loading "hourglass", now it goes through the Dell loading screen really fast, and shows me an image of the Metro logo, then loads my lockscreen for login.
Why can't I enable secure boot and UEFI options?
Why would the loading logo change?
Haven't done anything different than load disk, install, restart (and change the boot option when it was needed)
