Getting internet on USB

I have been trying to get access to internet based of a USB flash drive. I have seen that it is possible to copy internet info and put it onto a USB flash drive with a version of windows that I do not have, but I am unable to do so with my Windows 8 laptop. If it is possible for me to put in different internet routers' information on the USB so I could use the internet without logging into the computer and run programs (like games on school computers without having to log in with school information) This way, I'd also be able to play where I left off at home by using the flash drive. If there is a way to get internet available on a USB drive, any help to do so is appreciated.
